Terra Bautista
Terra joined Urban Alliance as the Executive Director in 2023 after serving more than five years on its Board of Directors. With a career dedicated to Maternal & Child Health services, she previously served as the Program Supervisor for Kalamazoo County’s Healthy Babies Healthy Start and 4Dad Fatherhood programs. Terra specializes in the development and implementation of community health worker service delivery models focused on decreasing black and white infant mortality disparities in Kalamazoo County. Her work included outreach, advocacy, care coordination, health education and promotion, and overall equity.
Terra also previously served as the co-chair of Cradle Kalamazoo Care Coordination’s sub-committee that works to coordinate multi-agency home visitation services within the community. Additionally, she was on the Cradle Governance Team which is a multi-agency collaboration formed to address disparities in black infant mortality.
Originally from Holland, Mich., Terra resides in Kalamazoo with her family. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Western Michigan University and brings more than 20 years of expertise in community advocacy, community engagement, and service model implementation to her new role at Urban Alliance.
