Connections Coordinator

Breante Coleman is a dedicated community leader and violence prevention advocate who serves as the Connections Coordinator at Urban Alliance. His journey is defined by resilience and personal transformation, having navigated the foster care system and served nine years in prison before dedicating his life to accountability and community service. As a survivor of community violence, Breante uses his lived experience to fuel his expertise in healing-centered leadership.

In 2025, Breante earned his certification in Community Violence Intervention (CVI) and led Urban Alliance’s Leadership Academy for seven months. During this time, he guided nine participants through a curriculum focused on emotional intelligence, discipline, and violence prevention. Under his leadership, the Academy became a safe space for vulnerability and collective growth, helping men build a foundation of accountability through studies like Chop Wood, Carry Water.

Today, Breante assists with the organization’s outreach efforts and serves as a peer educator for individuals seeking their own paths to change. His life stands as proof that growth is possible and that purpose can rise from pain.
