Rod Tucker
Rod, who joined Urban Alliance in 2023, lives in Kalamazoo with his wife and family. A pastor at Edison Chapel, Rod loves to speak to people about purpose, passion, and how to become world changers in their communities. He is also a community development entrepreneur and loves seeing under-resourced communities be transformed and empowered to become safe spaces for families to live, flourish, and thrive. Rod has authored several books and holds a Master of Divinity from Rockbridge Seminary, a master’s degree in teaching and a bachelor’s degree in urban and cross-cultural ministry from Greenville College, and an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Outside of his working vocation, Rod enjoys playing chess, basketball, obscure board games, Nintendo, and playing with his dog, Willow.
